Our Founder’s Story

Homecare Alternatives was founded by Clara F. Johary, MBA,HCM, CCRP, BS-CP, RRT in Gainesville, Florida. She has 30 plus years of healthcare experience including both acute and chronic critical care. In addition, Clara has held national executive healthcare leadership roles. She has an MBA with an emphasis in Healthcare Management.

As a clinician, Clara has developed programs that have resulted in improving patients’ quality of life as well as their long-term outcomes by reducing hospitalizations. She was inspired to start her own company, Homecare Alternatives, as a result of her experience as her own mother’s primary guardian and caregiver for the past 26 years and counting. Being her mother’s greatest advocate fueled her passion to launch this company as she has learned first-hand the challenges that are associated with getting optimal care for your loved ones. Her unparalleled dedication and ability to assemble a strong clinical team ensure that patients will receive optimal and personalized medical attention and care. Homecare Alternatives strives to provide stellar client-care service options to those in need in North Central Florida.
